What should I wear?
We are looking forward to celebrate with you, in whatever way you feel is festive. Since this is a weekend full of different activities, we suggest something vibrant for the ceremony, and something practical for Sunday's workshops.
On Sunday, we will be heating up the sauna and hot tub, so bringing an extra towel or bathrobe might be useful. For the spa area of the terrain, clothing is optional. If you are most comfortable wearing swimwear, bring that along.
What about presents?
We do not expect you to bring a gift. For us, celebrating together is the most important thing. If you do waant to give us something, because giving a gift is meaningful to you or a tradition you love, we certainly welcome that and invite you to be authentic in that gesture. If you are looking for suggestions, you can consult <link>. Again, we do not expect you to bring a gift.
What is co-creation? What can I expect?
A definition that is charming is as follows: co-creation is a way to give attendees the opportunity to design their own experience, not just by sharing what they enjoy and what they would want to do, but also by providing them with the opportunity to transform into facilitators and make this happen. This could be a painting session, a forest walk, bring your favorite game, your guitar, or face paint. It can also be something else entirely. If this sounds exciting to you, there will be two time slots for activities on Sunday. You can suggest something int he RSVP form.We do not know what to expect either, and we will curate suggestions to make the wedding an abundant and vibrant weekend.
Can I bring someone extra to your wedding?
We have invited all guests personally, and can only accommodate those named on the invitation.
How do I get to your wedding?
The Place to Be is half an hour walk from the nearest bus stop, and the bus is rather infrequent. It is also just under fifteen minutes by car from the nearest train station, and quite some people will likely come by car.In the RSVP form you can let us know how you plan to travel. Based on the responses, we will organize transfers or carpooling options.
Where would I sleep?
For those invited for the entire weekend, there are options to camp or to stay indoors. For a sneak peek, check out the website of The Place to Be (in Dutch). We will ask for a contribution to help cover overall costs.
If you are joining us for the ceremony and party, there are trains out of Doetinchem station until just after 11pm, and alternatively, there are quaint hotels.
I would like to give a speech or perform a surprise act. How would I go about this?
In Dutch tradition, guests sometimes prepare small performances, speeches, or funny skits as a way to celebrate the couple in a fun and personal way. These can be heartfelt, humorous, or even a mix of both. If you'd like to do something like this or give a speech or a toast, please e-mail our masters of ceremony Julia and Laura at ceremony@estherpepijn.wedding. They will coordinate and make sure everything fits together.
